As our avid readers are aware, Sophie has an aversion to bottles. Today we had success with a sippy cup! Well, at least a half success: The cup was filled with two ounces of milk and she drank half of it without any drama. It actually seems that she asked me to try it.
We were playing and I paused to take a drink of water from my water bottle. Her face was near mine and I looked at her while I was drinking and she was watching me, very interested in what I was doing. I took the bottle away from my mouth and she opened her mouth like she wanted me to let her have a drink. I moved the bottle near her mouth and she moved her mouth towards it. Since she is still too little to drink water, I decided to make her a sippy cup of milk and she drank out of it. Now we will have to try it again to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. Good job Sophie!
