We decided to play tourist in our own back yard this beautifully sunny Presidents' Day. Our first stop on the tour was the Olympic Sculpture Park in downtown Seattle. There is an open trail that zig zags gradually up a hillside between downtown Seattle and the waterfront. What a wonderful view of Puget Sound! Sprinkled along that trail are lots of large sculptures that are part of the permanent exhibit. Click here to see all of the sculptures that are on display. Next we walked to Seattle Center for lunch. They were having a music festival there and I got to watch lots of kids running and playing while we ate lunch. On our way out we stopped at the amusement park that is on the grounds. Boy, I can't wait until I am old enough to ride the rides. There is a ferris wheel, a merry-go-round and even a little roller coaster among other rides. I was mesmerized by all movement and noise from the rides and all the kids.
