Squeal, Pucker, Twirl, Ride

Here's a new movie of my adventures inside the past couple of days while waiting spring to come.  If you can't tell, I'm trying my first piece of lemon in one of the scenes.  Mommy is behind the camera most of the time and our cat Rags makes a brief appearance.  Hope you enjoy.

Boy I can't wait for warmer weather so we can make some good outdoor movies.

For Comfort

This is my own thing.  I invented it.  I do this instead of sucking my thumb or using a pacifier.  It makes me feel good when I am sleepy or hungry.  I do it a lot.

Momma's Keys

Ha Ha!  I've got momma's keys!  I try to get a hold of them any chance I get.

Clean Bill of Health

Today was my 9-month doctor's appointment and I got a clean bill of health.  We went in expecting to have to get booster shots, but all I got was a prick on my toe to check my iron count.  I didn't cry when the nurse did this.  I did, however, cry when the doctor stuck the tongue depressor in my mouth to check my teeth.  I don't like anyone messing with my gums.  He showed mommy how my upper gums are swollen which means my upper teeth are almost ready to break through!  All the better to munch my cheesey puffs.

The doctor said that I am old enough now that I can try any foods that I want except for peanut butter, honey and things that could make me choke like pop corn.  I can even try chocolate!  With this said, since I was such a good girl at the doctor, mommy took me to Dairy Queen and got me some soft serve vanilla ice cream!  (No chocolate this time.  Baby steps.)  I had a few bites and it was yummy.

Presidents' Day Tourist

We decided to play tourist in our own back yard this beautifully sunny Presidents' Day.  Our first stop on the tour was the Olympic Sculpture Park in downtown Seattle.  There is an open trail that zig zags gradually up a hillside between downtown Seattle and the waterfront.  What a wonderful view of Puget Sound!  Sprinkled along that trail are lots of large sculptures that are part of the permanent exhibit.  Click here to see all of the sculptures that are on display.

Next we walked to Seattle Center for lunch.  They were having a music festival there and I got to watch lots of kids running and playing while we ate lunch.  On our way out we stopped at the amusement park that is on the grounds.  Boy, I can't wait until I am old enough to ride the rides.  There is a ferris wheel, a merry-go-round and even a little roller coaster among other rides.  I was mesmerized by all movement and noise from the rides and all the kids.

Daddy and Me Weekend

This was a Daddy and Me weekend.  We ran errands and went to the beach while Mommy worked on her portfolio.  We saw boats, dogs and lots of water.  I was sleepy when daddy took this picture.  I fell asleep as soon as we got back to the car.
