Family Picture #3 (and #4)

Here is a family picture taken in front of our cherry tree in full bloom.

Here's our family picture when mommy tells me to smile.

The Slide

Not very far from where we live there is a school where mommy and daddy like to go to run around the track.  Well, daddy goes there more often than mommy.  But this day, all three of us went and while daddy ran, mommy and I played on the playground equipment.  They have lots of slides.  Some are little and some are big.  This is one of the big slides.  It is WAY off the ground.  We had to wait until daddy was finished working out before I could go down this one, but the wait was well worth it!  I LOVE TO SLIDE!  I was not ready to go when we left, but I am sure we will be back.

Aaahhhh, The Beach!

One of my favorite places to hang out is the beach.  I like digging in the sand and getting all dirty.  It drives my daddy crazy.  He doesn't like the sand very much.  He'd rather sit and watch mommy and I play.  One of these days he won't be able to resist my request to come out and play with me in the sand.

I have discovered that I am a very social person.  I love to watch other kids play and I am not too shy to go over and 'ask' them if I can play too.  This is my new friend Tia.  She is four years old.  She has a little brother who is just about my age, but he didn't want to play with us.  Tia was very nice and let me play with her sand toys.

Family Picture #2

Spring has sprung.  The plum tree in our back yard is in full bloom so we thought we'd get a family picture with some of the blossoms.  This tree, with all of its purple leaves, mesmerized  Sophia last summer and obviously she is still fascinated by it.  Happy Spring!

Day at the Beach

Over the weekend I came down with a double ear infection.  Sure makes it hard to sleep.  All I want to do is lay on Mommy, day and night.  It's been tough.  With my ears hurting, I have been thrown off balance.  I try to walk, but I wobble more than usual.  I fell flat on my face on the tile floor the other day and got a little bloody nose.  Then the very next day I tumbled and hit my mouth on the seat of a wooden chair.  My tooth that was almost ready to poke through?  Well, it was quite bloody, but that was enough to make it appear.  I saw my pediatrician on Monday and he gave me some yummy medicine to take.  Its pink and it tastes like bubble gum.  Mommy tells me I am a good girl because I take my medicine, but really I just like the way it tastes.

Towards the middle of the week, I started to feel better and the weather was really nice so mommy and I decided to get out of the house and we took a walk down to the Edmonds beach.  Like usual, I napped in the jogging stroller on the way down there.  Once there, we got to watch a ferry dock, load and take off.

Then we walked hand-in-hand in the sand along the water.

Then I got my first taste of SAND.  And I mean 'taste.'  I picked up a big handful and shoved it right into my mouth before mommy could stop me.  Good thing mommy thought to bring my sippy cup with us because I was able to wash out my mouth.  Yucky.  I will think twice before doing that again.  (notice I didn't say I would NEVER do that again...)

The beach really tuckers me out.  But we had a good time.  We were able to enjoy a hint of the nice weather that is just around the corner.

Happy Easter

I have never seen a stuffed animal so BIG!  AND it MOVES!  I was okay with it when we were in line and it was waving at me, but as soon as mommy sat me down and moved away that was the end of it.  The camera flashed once and then the bunny tried to bounce me on it's knee to make me laugh, but it had the opposite affect.  I didn't know that the thing I was sitting on could move.  It really freaked me out.  I turned to see why I was moving and I saw that this big stuffed animal had ahold of me.  GET ME OUT OF HERE!  Well, HAPPY EASTER anyway.
